Prince Ital Mike Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Hallo, this is my latest creation, the 1/72 Velorex. It's an Eduard kit, whis is quite new and contains about 40 parts including photoetched parts. The Velorex is an iconic czech car. We call it "hadraplán" which means "rugplane". It's a trike with chain driven rear wheel and motorcycle engine. If you want to know more about this legend, you can read an article on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Velorex I was heading for a kind of steampunk look. The propeller in the back is just for fun. Interior (unfinished build) Comparison with my 1/25 Hudson Hornet: Thank you for attention! Quote

Prince Ital Mike Posted March 1, 2017 Author Posted March 1, 2017 Now thats tiny. My old eyes would go nuts trying to detail paint something that small. well done. Thanks. I used the toothpick and the pin for detailing. Sometimes the tip of the pin wasn't sharp enough. It was driving me crazy. Quote
microwheel Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Thanks. I used the toothpick and the pin for detailing. Sometimes the tip of the pin wasn't sharp enough. It was driving me crazy. I'll bet. Heck I bet it was a job in itself just trying to see to detail it. You must have one heck of a magnifying glass lol Quote
Intmd8r Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Given the scale, that is an impressive build! My head hurts just thinking about the skill and patience that would be required on such a small car. Quote
stavanzer Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 I'd never heard of those cars before. Great Job! Quote

My head hurts just thinking about the skill and patience that would be required on such a small car. Thank you. Yes, it was a headache-friendly build. Cute ! No way could I ever build that. Thanks. I'm sure that you could build it easily! I'd never heard of those cars before. Great Job! Thank you, Alan. Quote
XJ6 Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 I had to look twice, but I spotted it that is really cool.. Quote
tedd60 Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 Great Job on an interesting subject. I have a couple reverse trikes planned 1/18th scale so they will be just a bit larger. Quote
