sdrodder Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Went to wal mart the other day. Well i went to the auto rows and found they had a tube of spot putty were the sand paper and bondo items are.. I had my dad buy it for me and i tryed it today. It works great. Just a heads up on it. The tube will probably last for 6 months so i think the price was right at 2 95. Just giving you guys a heads up.
RJWood Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 What is the name of the putty? How many ounces are in the tube? and have you noticed any shrinking? Sorry for all the Q's, But I need more info. I buy my primer and some of my spray paint at Wally's house o' ######. Build on!
sdrodder Posted May 31, 2008 Author Posted May 31, 2008 okay no problem. The name is glazig and spot putty. There are 4,5 0z in the tube. I used it on the 28 and coated it again today. I didnt see any shrinking. They say it will crack if you put it on to thick but it doesnt shrink after. It takes about 30 mins to dry depending on thikness. Let me know if you have any more questions. Oh and the cost is 3 20 with tax.
RJWood Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 Thank you for the information Florian, and perfect timing, as today is the day my wife usually goes to Wal-mart. So I will go with her and check it out. Can't beat the price. Thanks again. Ron
sdrodder Posted May 31, 2008 Author Posted May 31, 2008 no problem. All you do with it is break the seal and put it on. Glad i could help.
bobss396 Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 The putty is good stuff, very much like the professional 1:1 putty. And if you have to use more than a thin wipe, you're using too much. All of my putty work goes into the dehydrator, so shrinking is not an issue. Bob
