So I've done a search on the interweb to see if any of the aftermarket folks have done correct headlight buckets for the MPC '70 GTO kit.   No luck with my searches.   Is anyone aware of such a product?  The headlights that come in the kit are closer to the '71-72 headlights where the lens sits flush with the front of the bucket.   The '70 lights sat much deeper in the buckets.  I'm trying to build a replica of the 1:1 '70 goat I have in my garage and the headlight buckets that come in the kit just don't look right.

No one has done what you want in the aftermarket industry. When I built a '70 GTO several years ago, It took quite a bit of work just to get the front end on the car. It can be done.

Thanks for the info Ron.   Kinda what I was afraid of.   If I can lay my hands on an extra headlight/grill piece, I may try my hand at drilling/grinding out the buckets.   Not sure how to polish everything out afterwards to get it chromed....
