ok since its hella cold here and thinking of raining i did this

its the amt version of ecto 1a in which i have three of :biggrin:

heres a lowrider 59 caddy ambulance

i cut every cabinet that was molded into the rear and scrath built these

i shaved and filled the roof except the light bar brackets,siren horn holes,and the sequential light holes in the back

and here it is in mock up stage needs bigger white walls

Just scoped the paint. Dude, next time PLEASE warn us 2 put on sunglasses That thing is BRIGHT.

'nother question, Ive noticed that u and others say "...with flake mixed in" I take it this means you put your own flake into a production paint as opposed to say "Testors Purple Metalic Flake".

If so where can I find the flake - there are several paints on my supply shelf i would liketo do this with.

BTW I'm still seeing spots

check your automotive paint supply house i think for $40.00 you can get a pint of flake

and yes i mix flake in with the production paint

They Have for Years, but have cut back to only Specialty Colors

Plastikote or Duplicolor is actually Easier to Use IMHO(And they come in Varieties, along with OEM's).....

spray clear AGAIN to hold the foil

then detail work

you do realize that if you clear over foil, it MIGHT turn yellow over time.

Make sure you burnish it REALLY good then.

Color combos workin out great Kev,the foils jus gonna make it pop all the more!Hey if it does turn a lil yella after a while,just say it's anodized! But Clay's right Daddy-o just make sure you burnish it down GOOD an it should stay in place.Lookin Nice Kev!!!

and got the fins(not pictured) and rear door to match

WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO BOY!!!!! That is INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL ! Great foil work, and color choice ( yes I had my sunglasses within reach ). Quick question Is that a set of KEYS on the front seat???? If so "Nice Touch" doesnt even come close to doing that justice.

Seriously though, the keys, AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. A little over the top in the detail dept, but thats why I like it and why we do it aint it??!

all the buttons are painted chrome

the diles are painted chrome

the numbers and that kind of stuff is chrome

and the ac vents are actually there photoetched

im plannig on adding books in the back as well as a clip board

all i need is a bairly clothed nurse and a gurny in the back and it will be set LOL

If you have an A.C. Moore craft store nearby their doll-house section is second to none. I believe they'll have one. If not, possibly out of an old AMT ambulance. their older kits had all kinds of extras.

PS if u dont have an AC Moore, I'm planning on going to my local one this weekend. If you aint got a gurney by then i'll try to find one 4 u.
