Reflective Tape strips

Afternoon Chaps

Any idea how to replicate the reflective tape strips seem on and around Trucks? Not something you really see a lot off on model trucks. 

My thoughts were Tamiya tape, sprayed clear yellow/orange mix over silver and gloss varnished. Then cut up to whatever size needed.

Any thoughts

You might be able to use tail-light repair tape, available at auto parts stores. That same tape is also available in amber, in case you're curious.
