crazyjim Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 This afternoon's completion was this 1938 Ford. It's built out of the box and finished in Pearl-Ex sunset gold. And I used my new photo backdrop for these pics.
cobraman Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Very sharp Jim. I love what you did with this kit.
Dann Tier Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Really LOVE that color!! well built too, as usual!! pretty nice backround as well! Q: what made you change it? I thought the other backdrop was pretty sweet.
DeeCee Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 What an absolutely BEAUTIFUL paint job man, just stunning, very nice build all round sir..
vintagercr Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 It looks really nice and the colour really pops in the sunlight. I like your back drop
crazyjim Posted July 15, 2017 Author Posted July 15, 2017 Woke up this morning to all these wonderful comments. Thank you all so much.I changed my photo drop to try and get better pics. The old 1 had 3 sides and I thought was blocking lights. The new has only 2 sides. That was my thought anyway.
PARTSMARTY Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Amazing as always and the color is stunning-and oh by the way it's shiny-lol !!!
crazyjim Posted July 15, 2017 Author Posted July 15, 2017 Thanks Marty. Of course it's SHINY. You ever know me to build anything else? LOL
espo Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Great looking build. I like how you blended the three different colors on the interior. Outstanding paint color and finish.
crazyjim Posted July 15, 2017 Author Posted July 15, 2017 Thanks David. I really like doing interiors. The dark brown lines are actually drawn with a marker.
Phildaupho Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 I have been so impressed with this and another recently posted under glass completion that I bought myself one of these kits today. Notice the tires are much better than the original issue. I am currently modifying a 37 Slant-back sedan into 36 configuration but now wondering if I should have started with the body in this kit !!??
crazyjim Posted July 16, 2017 Author Posted July 16, 2017 Thanks Phil. I bought 3 of the '38 Ford kits at Ollie's. The wheels, tires, and chassis are wonderful parts.
