I have a first issue AMT Ecto, and I've thought of building it as a non-Ecto ride. I WILL NOT BE OPENING DOORS, HOOD, OR ANYTHING ELSE ON THAT MODEL! I'm thinking more of a semi-pro-street ride, with nice, smooth paint.

However, I DO like the examples posted above!

Lemme guess, a fully functional, in-scale flame throwing exhaust?????????????

Holy Cow Marshall, what kind of camera are you using? This shot is pretty cool!!!! :)

Thanks Jairus!

I use a Canon Powershot A-620 7.1 mega pixels.... Canon's have been my favorite cameras for a long time.

It gets nice close ups....

ATTACK OF THE GREEN GOOP!!!! :(

Here's an update of the rear fender customizing work....

IMG_0687.jpg

I took some sheet plastic, glued it to the body, then added Evercoat two part putty to it....

IMG_0680.jpg

Then I shaped it with sandpaper....

IMG_0681.jpg

IMG_0684.jpg

After I shape the right side, I'll touch it up with some more putty, then do the final shaping. I'll be adding more plastic and putty to it to make the front and rear roll pans. More on that later. Until then, Stay tuned!

What kind of filler is that green goop?? I need to get some to fill in the gauges on my dash so I can use the PE parts I ordered.. or is there a better kind I can get for that application??

It's Evercoat Polyester putty, sold in automotive stores. It's the best putty I've ever used! It's a 2 part putty that dries in a 1/2 hour, sands very easily, and never shrinks! A bottle of it will last at least 2-3 years(unless you're like me and use it on everything, including the crack in my head!!! B) ). I swear by the stuff, it works great!

Posted
"deghostbusterfied"is that even a word??? way to up the ante w/ the read wood, but a Hydraulic Hearse :D:lol: NICE TOUCH!!!!!!!!!!

OBTW youre already KILLING ME w/ the SUSPENCE

Thanks Led! That is nicest comment I've ever gotten about my work. I really appreciate hearing that, it makes it nice to know I'm doing something right. Thanks again!

I agree with led, its always the small mods that make a model look smooth, i.e. shaved door handles and emblems and small custom work. Good work Custom, keep it up.
