Casey Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 (edited) Original box for comparison: Edited December 22, 2017 by Casey
AC Norton Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Well, I don't need it,,,,,but I certainly will buy it...lol.........the Ace.....
smhardesty Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 I'm in. I actually owned a '78 Gremlin X. Building a '74 with the denim interior could be fun.
Mr mopar Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Wish it would have been a 72' ,but the wife likes it so I will have to get one !
Robberbaron Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Aside from the different decals and box art, I'm wondering if there's any other difference from the '75 kit? From Google images, it seems like the '74 and '75 had the same grills, bumpers, etc. About the only other difference I can definitely say is that the '74 shouldn't have the catalytic converter.

Casey Posted September 28, 2017 Author Posted September 28, 2017 Aside from the different decals and box art, I'm wondering if there's any other difference from the '75 kit?I doubt it. I can't recall if the early '70s style hood scoop, sidepipes, and chin spoiler were present in the '75 and '76 reissues, but I'm expecting this '74 reissue to be 95% the same.
stavanzer Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Aw, Dang! I avoided the '75 and '76 Kits, but this one....... I'll have to buy one. The denim does it for me.
kelson Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 I seem to remember the front seats were undersized, hopefully that will be fixed.
stavanzer Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Curtis, I expect that the seats will be exactly the same as every other version of this tool. The grille may be new though.
unclescott58 Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Okay... I have a vintage, original '75 and a more recent "original art" '76. So do I need a '74? No. But, I like those stupid little Gremlins. I bet this will appear in my collection soon.
unclescott58 Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Added one to my collection tonight. Haven't opened the box yet.

If you could post a picture of the decal sheet please, Scott, I would appreciate it. I'm not expecting much else inside the kit to be much different from the '75 an '76 kits, but I'm pretty sure the stripes are different on the '74.

I'll try to get at it by this weekend. And I will post photos of the decal sheet for you.

Mr mopar Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 I just can't figure out why they did not add the back part of the RED decal for a stock stripe .
