Don’t see these cars on the road in US. They were little screamers in the day though.  You did a nice job with the kit! Looks good.

Yeah, the Fords was a little bit different engine wise from the Merkurs, the XR4 used the german V6, N/A, instead of the 2,3 turbo four used in the Merkurs.

The plain jane models used the 2,0 four that you got in the early Pintos, I had one like that when I was 20 (and the 2,0 coupé versions had the same body as the Cosworth, with the big side window in the rear, but I have always liked the weird looking dual pillar XR4 better), it was very fun to drive but of course a bit gutless.... Due to the lack of weight in the rear and old dry rethreaded 175R13 tires, it could burn rubber with ease though...
