Hi Everyone

I am putting out the word that the 2008 IPMS National Convention in Virginia Beach needs the help of our fellow car modelers and retailers. As of today we have ZERO automotive trophy packages sponsored. If you are a car club or just an individual you can sponsor a trophy pack for the paltry sum of Award Sponsorship:

Basic Trophy packs - $75

Best of/Special Awards - $90

Hope you can help out!

Scott. what you said about needing trophy packages is true. Problemis ever since I've bee back up here rom Dallas, people just don't talk to one another. The problem is really apparent here in Richmond which I affectionately call , "THE LAND THAT TIME FORGOT".We here in the "Communistwealth" face east to our locally "appointed" heroes on the hill. Meanwhile, i see it everywhere I go and I get ALL over the state as I drive for a living The Chevrolet Club wont talk to the Packard club and the Ford club wont talk to the Chrysler club. Same goes for I P M S. . First I was a member Of Richmond's chapter for years. I wrote a collum in their newsletter called U S 59, usually cars built here up until Elvis passed away I would PLEAD for input. No one would tell me what they wanted. Now they were quick to criticize . Hey I'd go to the meeting and there they were bashing U S kits and glorifying Japanese stuff. At the shows, I saw politicking like nobody's business going on . Yep I waqs a judge at the Old Dominion Open onetime, in 1999. I PROMISE YOU , IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. An unnamed "NameBrand" moddeler from Tidewater cussed me out after the show was about over cause his entry didn't win. I told him , I'm telling you and every one else I will not ever Judge again If I win , fine but I also want to win fair and square. By the way I'm the same person who does the service stations and the gasoline pumps too. Hey I hope yo0u do have nice show, dont know if i'll be there cause no one sends flyers to the local hobby shops here,hummmmmm.............................. Ed Shaver
