Tom Louis Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Esci/Ertl kit I picked up on the Bay, sans decals. I will come up with my own graphics/color scheme soon. A very basic kit (curbside) that may have been a retooled slotcar kit. I embellished a bit, adding a full roll cage , fuel cell, and front clip bars, just to "busy" things up a bit. I am just learning about road racing builds, so I am moving conservatively. The chassis is done enough, starting the body masking process. 935k3 Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 If you can find this AMT Porsche 935 it has the Martini Decals in the box. It should be pretty cheap. It is the same kit reboxed.
rsxse240 Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 This model is so pleasantly surprising in that the box art and the box build is so bad that it doesn't show how great a kit it really is! I thought it was one of these poorly detailed kits with poor fitment and all that, but is actually as good as a Hasegawa, Fujimi or Aoshima, or even better. AMT did this rather frequently, much to their own loss. Some of their kits from the 1990s could compare to the Tamiya and other "high end" Japanese kits of the time.
935k3 Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 I built this one years ago. I think it was NITTO version.
