89AKurt
I tried to speed assemble this, I've seen where guys knock out a model to fill a contest category that is empty, how do they do it? I also wanted to paint something with the zinc chromate primer, and Rustoleum primer instead of the cliche flat black. I'm also spoiled with Tamiya, Fujimi, and now Aoshima quality. Instead of using up my allotment for pictures, showing my Fakebook post:

Pete J.
Interesting attempt. It was fun to see the results. I am intrigued by your comment about contest categories. I know over the years, there has been a huge amount of discussion about how and why people build and there always seems to be a slam on those who would do just what you suggest and build quick for a contest category because it gets them a trophy. Often times they are referred to as trophy hounds or hunters and derided for being so. Personally, that is not my style. I prefer to put our my best effort on every model. Having said that, it might be fun to try and do a short quick build and see how well it turns out. Perhaps I am over thinking my model building? How knows, I may actually get something done.
