1972coronet Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 (edited) The latest issue of Muscle Car Review features a 1965 Acadian L-79 , beautifully and painstakingly restored . The article re-catalysed my interest in those Canadian G.M. models , and got my mind going : Does anyone offer --in resin-- Beaumont and / or Acadian conversion pieces ? Has anyone built one --via scratch-building-- ? I'd really like to convert the new(ish) AMT 1968 El Camino to a phantom 1968 Beaumont SD-396 El Camino ! Edited April 30, 2018 by 1972coronet
lordairgtar Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Model Car Garage I think had a 69 Chevelle photoetch set that included the bits needed to make a Beaumont including script and grille pieces. One just needed to scratch the tail lamps and source a GTO or LeMans/Tempest dash board. I'm still after all these years working on a 68 version. I'm just lazy I guess.

mademan Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 I started on a 63 Acadian conversion for the AMT annual kit. but its been stalled for a couple years. too much on the go. Fortunately I have a bunch of 1:1 on hand for measurements etc.
Karl Sheffer Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 I built a 67 Acadian station wagon from the AMT 66 Nova with a Boss Nova roof added to it. I modified the kit grill with pieces of Evergreen styrene. I realized at a later time that the body side character line was not chrome molding and I have since removed it. Here's a link to my Fotki album with more pictures: https://public.fotki.com/kas1256/models/1967-acadian-wagon/
