bitner Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Here are some pics of my other logging trucks. All the logging equipment on the Western Star is home cast by me, including the drivers and trailer wheels.
bitner Posted July 29, 2008 Author Posted July 29, 2008 Thanks guys: These are the first logging trucks I've built after a twenty year hiatus from the hobby. These are the only ones I've completed so far with more in the future. I have about 12 other trucks I've finished including a Kenworth tractor drawn ariel ladder truck from the Seattle Fire Department circa 1970. Cheers: Bill
Slim Louis Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Great looking trucks! Reminds me of when I lived in Humboldt Co. CA in the late seventies!
bitner Posted July 31, 2008 Author Posted July 31, 2008 Hi Slim Jim: I know what you mean, That's where I live now, Eureka CA:)
Slim Louis Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Small world, I lived in Arcata and was the executive Chef at the Eureka Inn 1978-1980!

ultraliner13 Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 These are nice clean truck builds you have here. I will enjoy looking at them a few more times. they look great. Thankyou for sharing them with us Cheers John
Old Albion Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Bill, Your work really is exceptional. I'm with Tim, my favourite is the Kenworth and the Western Star. Is the Kenworth the Revell kit. I have not built a logging truck yet, but this gives me lots of ideas. Thanks for sharing them with us. Best Wishes Dave Bates
bitner Posted September 4, 2008 Author Posted September 4, 2008 (edited) Hi Dave: You're right, it is the Revell/Germany kit. I added my own cast rear wheels to it and extended the frame 5 scale feet. Cheers: Bill Edited September 4, 2008 by bitner
