Lyle Willits Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 (edited) I originally intended to build a full detail kit,,,,until I saw the actual contents of the box. I understand that this was the last BODY that Ron Cash made, which was very well done, but the rest of the kit was put together by Ray Parsons of R&R. I added several things like wheels, tailights, headlights, "chromed" the bumpers with BMF, Made acetate windows. The interior bucket was greatly widened to eliminate the HUGE gaps between the side panels and the body. The dash doesn't fit the cowl, leaving a grand canyon-sized gap, but I already had everything painted and glued. The frame was unidentifyable and I could have resin-casted a dog turd that looked and fit better. If you're fortunate enough to have one of these and intend to build it, you're in for a LOT of work. Buy LOTS of putty! Even with all that said, I'm still grateful that we have a piece of model car history from Ron Cash. Edited August 2, 2008 by Lyle Willits
Clay Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 Wow that looks awesome considering all you had to do. However I did see your Malibu conversion in SA contest issue a few years ago and it was awesome!

Clay Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 It was a 65 Chevelle that you converted to a Malibu with a ZR-1 engine. It was for the 04 NNL Nationals
