regular guy Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 It was sold as a kit with a paint gun for painting walls. Made by Thomas Industries. One of their first products around 1960.They sent me a manual .PDF. That's good support! The vane compressor got loose in the bore. 3in1 oiled the 4 screws holding it together overnite. Came right out with hand impact driver. Going to take case apart when I can get to it. Any body know what the vane blades are made of? Looks like same material they make piston rings out of.
regular guy Posted August 26, 2018 Author Posted August 26, 2018 (edited) Could be.It feels like iron though. Get a better idea after taking it apart. I'm a little ways off from replacing one or two vanes in it and putting it back together. Plan to do some disassembly tomorrow. Then need to check the bore condition. Also see why the rotary drum with the blades in it got loose and jammed against the bore. Edited August 26, 2018 by regular guy
