sdrodder Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Well thought i would share something with you guys. When i started collecting 1/64 scale cars and hot wheels i needed somewhere to store them but in the same time be able to look at them. Well my dad then made a shadow box for them. Its in a house shape and has a plexie glass door which you can open. The door will be shut then with 3 small screw in pins. I have had most of these cars in there for about 3 years. They never got dusty. Because of showing somepeople these cases my dad made bout 10 more to sell. Then they werent interested so we tryed to sell them at swap meets. People were always interested till they heard the price of 270 dollars to 300. They asked why so expensive and my dad told them that these are handmade and the price bearly covers the cost to make them. So i though i would share with youguys these case. What do you guys think of them? Let me know whatcha think? These pics below are 2 of the 4 i have in my room. 2 of them are even signed by the actor who plyed millner in american graffiti.
j_nigrelli Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 it's hard to sell something like that and even get your time out of it. nice cases for your collection and hopefully you'll keep them maybe to pass on to your son.
