Tommy124 Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 (edited) Hi folks, here's another one I built about a year ago. Fujimi curbside kit of the 800hp twin-turbo Testarossa by Koenig Specials, Munich, Germany. Hope you like it. Edited September 14, 2018 by Tommy124
Gramps46 Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 A very beautiful build, congratulations.
Anglia105E Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 Your Ferrari looks absolutely real in every photo Thomas..... well done with your build and such a good product from Fujimi. David
Dentz Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 A real beauty, my favorite Red Head, great work!
Ich_Will Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 Fantastic! I have the Koenig Mercedes 500SL on the shelf. I hope it turns out 1/2 this good.
Dann Tier Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 (edited) Now that is EXCEPTIONAL!!!.....even if it is red......lmao!, makes me wanna build another one -Its also one of the VERY few times where Fujimis "cloudy" klear plastic is more realistic......on the rear window....lol Edited September 14, 2018 by Dann Tier
Italianhorses Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 Great build of a car that is not often seen and a model kit that is not often built. Looks superb!
Scalper Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 neat... not f40 not testorassa but everything in between
Nacho Z Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 Such a great looking model! Your photos really show it off!
Dann Tier Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 Heres one Koenig project that didn't do Porsche any favors......looks like it was used as a door wedge!!
Rob Hall Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 Way cool..never seen one of those kits built.
89AKurt Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 Don't recall seeing a kit to begin with. Nice job, and the really cool thing, you built it!

Dann Tier Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Hallo, Tommy!, guten tag!....wie gehts es ihnen? Ich haben zweite Koenigs bald.....
Tommy124 Posted September 16, 2018 Author Posted September 16, 2018 (edited) Hi Dann, nice, glad for you that you got the 2 kits. I have them aswell, but in the old boxings from the late 80s/ early 90s. In my Koenig department I also have the „beautiful“ 911, the 928 (we agree that this design on that one is much better!), the Testarossa in 1/16 scale and a resin transkit from C1 for converting the Revell Ferrari 308 GTB into a really beautiful Koenig version... Koenig‘s design has always been a matter of taste (be that a good or a bad one). But after 3 decades or so after they haven been designed they have at least to be looked as cool, I think. Btw, you think the Koenig 911 is the most ugly around? I don‘t think so... The Gemballa Avalanche is even worse imho. Funny that ROG once did a kit of this based on the Fujimi EM series Porsche 930. Sorry, bud, but ya, its the ONLY one I cant like......looks like an elephant sat on the front end. The Gamballa is horrible too.....looks VERY heavy and sloooooow, lol
djmcguire Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Gemballa Avalanche kit for the 911 should be killed with fire...it's horrible. The work Koenig did on the 911 always reminds me of the 911 from 'Bachelor Party'...it just needs a flame paint job. I've got a few of the Fujimi Koenig Kits (three 911s, one 928, the Mercedes 500 and I don't know how many Testarossas in 1/24 and 1/16) and the 911 doesn't look too bad if it's done in a color that is as over-the-top as the car itself...I'll have to hunt down the body I have sprayed in Testor's Purple-Licious that's just waiting to be polished. It's purple, it's gaudy and it matches the car perfectly.

Speaking of which, the tail lights on the Koenig have been taken from the Audi 200! ?
