I was looking at one but...maybe not I do want to build one though

The ROG or a 250 GTO in general?

It is buildable, I think, so far every time I think it has me licked it worked out somehow... everything just barely fits and if anything is the slight bit off you're done. There are a lot of pit-falls though and I can see how it would easily end up back on the self, smashed against a wall or in the trash. It is not a shake-n-bake kit. It is definitely a skill level 5 kit, or higher, but probably not quite as insane as a Fujimi Enthusiast kit.

The good news is that it is a fun build so it is easier to overcome the difficulties, compared to a hard kit that isn't any fun to build either. There has been nothing that caused any real aggravation. Getting the suspension set up is probably the hardest most time consuming part, and there is pretty much one sequence it goes together a deviation would pretty much insure a failure to finish the kit.

That is to say if you follow the instructions you will get to a point where it would be almost impossible to finish, but if you deviate from the instructions there is one other way it can go together. If you glue a part in or an assembly in to early the rest of it will never go together.

You will just have to try building one to know what I mean, but I can try to answer any questions along the way.

ROG, but any 250, I love em but see hard kits but it's like what you said, as long as you follow the intructions and take your time and have instructions

Chris, you are right, sometimes you have to deviate away from the instructions and just try to figure it out. I've noticed this on a few builds I've done. It works for sure.

Lookin good CAL!! Keep going... Did you have issues getting the drivers side plug wires to clear the firewall? I had to make adjustments to mine!

Thanks, I am. I am just to a slow part of the build, filing down all the rims and fixing up the front suspension.

Not the fire wall, plenty of room there, but it is a tight squeeze around the battery tray and the floor on the other side.

Like I have mentioned everthing is a very tight fit. With the front engine surround, firewall, and with the radiator on the chassis, and like you I put the lower valance on, it all just fits. You have to squeeze it all foward as much as you can before bringing the chassis w/ the motor in place up. The first time I tried fitting it together I was like oh-oh, don't fit, but I figured out how to get the front of the chassis and radiator past the engine bay walls and the lower valance - it is tight ... i'd go as far as to say it's an interference fit.

I know what you are talking about know. It is tight there too: firewall with that air duct. Luckly there is a little spot of room there for the bundle of wires, it fits just perfect. It is hard to get the engine and chassis in and out though. I also made my dist cap and wire set up scratch so maybe that made the difference.

Took a bunch of fiddling around to get it but here it is.

Most of the major componets are in as well.

The next major hurdle will be getting the interior done.
