yellowsportwagon Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 This is a Revell pro modeler with a lot of scratchbuilt stuff going into it. The cage is robbed from a Polar Lights Talledega. Fits 68-70 B body Mopars almost perfect. Nine inch housing from the spares box. Looks closer to a 83/4 Chrysler. NASCAR Mopars didn’t use Dana 60 tears.
yellowsportwagon Posted December 17, 2018 Author Posted December 17, 2018 Couple more progress on chassis. Scratchbuilt K member and frt bars. Crossbraces added under floor and fuel cell built.body is painted
yellowsportwagon Posted December 17, 2018 Author Posted December 17, 2018 This has actually been painted for a while. I just started the chassis this week. I’ve done a couple like this before so it’s pretty easy now.
MarkJ Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 Excellent start. Glad you're building this with a wip. I need reference for when I get around to doing mine. Haven't decided on which car yet.
<profile removed> Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 This looks fantastic. Love all the extras you are adding. I have this kit and the decals to do the Charlie Glozbach Dow car...someday...maybe...
PettyKW43 Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 For anyone doing a NASCAR version of the Daytona or any other Mopar , the Revell GTX has a good 8 3/4 diff!
yellowsportwagon Posted December 30, 2018 Author Posted December 30, 2018 (edited) Got the chassis all painted start some final assembly now Edited December 30, 2018 by yellowsportwagon Picture
yellowsportwagon Posted January 7, 2019 Author Posted January 7, 2019 Had to get back on this one today just adding final details now.
Dave Van Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 Gotta love them Winged Warriors!!!! Nice work!
MarkJ Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 Excellent job, Tim. Thanks for the wip. Do you know what the story is behind the Canadian flag being on the wing?

Irish Murphy Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 I want to get this kit but is all the mods you did required to have it look correct? I see that the box says two options for street and race. Was the cage included with the kit no good? Also with all the scratch built stuff and robbing of other kits you did. Just curious before I buy one.. thanks.
Bill J Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 Super nice work on the Daytona Charger. I sure wish someone would reissue those decals.
