Hi

Getting back into modeling after a lot, I mean a lot of years. Being a mechanic my whole working life and now retired without a shop to work on the real stuff I'm going to start working on the small stuff again. It was the small stuff that got me interested in working on the real stuff. Is the word stuff to repetitive ?

Right now looking to work on a 41 Willys kit and in a sort of "dilemma" where I want to tub it and do away with the I beam front suspension. It's the Revell gasser kit. Bought two kits to see what would work, Monogram Camaro Pro Stock and the AMT 66 Nova Pro Street. Built real stuff (there's that word again) where I did fabricate, cut and weld things, so cutting up styrene isn't a problem for me.

Looking forward to finding possible solutions to my build on this forum.

Thanks

Welcome to our plastic playground Richie.  I'm an ex-Long Islander......used to live in West Islip.  Left because of the ridiculously high R.E. taxes.

If you're interested in a model club there on LI, look up the L.I.A.R.S. club (Long Island Auto Replica Society)  They meet on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 7:30 PM at the Henrietta Acampora Senior Center in Blue Point.

Good to know, Blue Point isn't far from me.
