Car Crazy 81 Posted January 20, 2009 Author Posted January 20, 2009 Heres Some Progress On The Vette.
Car Crazy 81 Posted February 17, 2009 Author Posted February 17, 2009 More Progress On The Vette I Changed The Wheels Which Came From A Revell 67 Chevelle I Find The Rallye Wheels Look Sexy On The Vette So Theyre Gonna On There For Good.
gilsdropshop1 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 nice build love those rally wheels good choice!
Car Crazy 81 Posted March 3, 2009 Author Posted March 3, 2009 The Vette has some paint on it. Its painted Dupli-Color "Engine Enamel" Universal Red with a Dupli-Color Silver Metallic basecoat to brighten up the red. She close to being finished. I still need to get the hood painted but thats no biggie.
Car Crazy 81 Posted April 14, 2009 Author Posted April 14, 2009 Heres some updates on the Vette the red paint i laid on her i wasnt happy with it so i stripped off the red paint and something gave me a idea to modify the Vette into a 63 Stingray. The rear window is gonna be from a AMT 63 Vette and also the fender vents also from the same kit. I talked with other fellow modelers and they told me "Thats gonna be a lot of surgery on that kit youl'l be better off buying a Revell 63 Vette" which is a snap kit. So what ya'll think.
Car Crazy 81 Posted April 23, 2009 Author Posted April 23, 2009 Heres the pics of the mods i did to the Vette it was a bear to get it just right. I used the parts from a AMT 63 Corvette such as : The rear split window & fender vents. Im still working on the bumperettes since i removed the notches that were there. To replicate the Vettes 327 ci which is coming from a Revell 63 Impala SS and add a fuelie intake system.
