Thanks very much for your kind comments guys.  I am encouraged by them all.

David (Anglia105E) I think you are referring to the DeSoto Fireflyte, which just happens to be the car that is currently in progress on my workbench.  It is a resin kit from Modelhaus that I got from them last year before they closed up shop.  I'm doing it in Gold and Black and so far the Gold paint looks pretty good.
