dino246gt Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Small changes that may go un-noticed by some are what make a model stand out, I notice! Nice Cuda!
adamelvis Posted November 27, 2019 Author Posted November 27, 2019 Ok Guys, Sorry for the hiatus, I was busy with work, home renos and family. I will post the final stages of construction here, then add a new post in Under Glass for the finished photo shoot.
adamelvis Posted November 27, 2019 Author Posted November 27, 2019 (edited) Here is the finished grill. For those that remember, I cut out the headlight holes, made a new template and corrected the gap. Also drilled out the plastic grill and added the photo-etched detailed grill. Added a very thin piece of BMF trim around the edge. Overall, I think it’s a good looking grill ! LOL Some BMF work around the windows. For the fender trim, I’ll use the Molotow pen. I like to drill a small hole and glue a pin to the base of side mirrors. Then drill a small hole in the door. This makes glueing it in place easier & stronger. Below, all I did was drill out a hole in the middle of the hood hinge. Makes it look more like a hinge, rather that a triangle shaped hinge !! First time installing hood pins. It was a challenge and very tedious getting it to line up and function properly. TCB, Adam Edited November 27, 2019 by adamelvis
72 Charger Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 Wow you really are raising the bar with the details your adding . The front end looks amazing. Cant wait to see what you do to the rear end.

72 Charger Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 Fantastic work Adam my only criticism would be that the shaker could do with coming up a little . Other than that perfection
Bills72sj Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH nice 'Cuda. Your billboard decals came out nice and dark.

Other than that perfection Yes, you are correct sir. I took too much off the carbs, to make sure the hood fit nice & flat. Not seeing the "Hemi Cuda" badge nice & clearly is bothering me. I'm a perfectionist, so I must fix it... LOL ! Cheers, Adam Edited November 30, 2019 by adamelvis
72 Charger Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 I am a perfectionist to . I wanted to ask as well where did you get the hood pin set or did you make them yourself

adamelvis Posted December 10, 2019 Author Posted December 10, 2019 I always like to finish off my interiors with roof liners made with real fabric. This is such a quick and easy thing to do and I am surprised at how many fantastic builds are missing this simple detail. I use Post-It notes as my template, cut out the fabric and then install with a light coat of glue on the back. Also, you can even scratch build your own sun visors and interior dome light too.
drodg Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 Great idea and your right I never do a headliner,.
Reuhkapelti2 Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 What a great build. Many wonderful tips too, like the hood hinges. Never thought of that. And that interior head liner, so simple but so perfect.
72 Charger Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 Thats what I like about this site learning something new all the time. I really love the roof lining . I will have to steal that idea and a few other details from this build. Coolest build I have seen in a long time well done Adam
