bogger44 Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 My first completion of the new year. I finished it up early last week but due to that crazy polar vortex (woke up to -41 on Thursday morning) I wasn't able to take some outdoor pictures until today. Built it pretty much straight out of the box. The only real mod I did was space the front tires out a little as they were sunk in quite a ways when built oob. I also left the wing windows off as I just like the look that the restored one has without them. Model Master Classic White laquer was the paint of choice. Thanks for looking and any comments/questions.
Hmann68 Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Love it! Very cleanly built! Arnie is popular here in Illinois! And we had those kind of temps here in the northern part of state, just crazy cold ?
Brutalform Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 That build looks perfect. Great interior detail. Your decals look as if they were painted on. I have two of these kits. One is for building, the other one I’m keeping sealed. I cant wait till the Dyno Don car comes out. Should be out within the next two months.
bogger44 Posted February 3, 2019 Author Posted February 3, 2019 Thanks guys. I should note that I also spliced the decal with Cincinnati on it to the correct spelling. It was a pretty easy and straight forward build with little in terms of fitment issues. 10 hours ago, Brutalform said: That build looks perfect. Great interior detail. Nitrobarry Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 VERY well done! Other than fixing the decal and engine wiring, it`s pretty much box stock right?

I don’t get why the long wait. It’s suppose to be released in the first quarter of 2019. They already have the Beswick kit, and I’m sure it will be the same parts, except different decals, and boxing. Edited February 3, 2019 by Brutalform
bogger44 Posted February 5, 2019 Author Posted February 5, 2019 Thanks again guys. On Sunday, February 03, 2019 at 11:29 AM, Nitrobarry said: VERY well done! Other than the small things already mentioned, the only other relatively notable addition is the windshield wiper posts I made from filed down ends of a toothpick. Also, I should note that the rear window needed to be carefully filed down a small amount to fit correctly.
afx Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 (edited) Very nice Tony. I'm using this kit's chassis, interior, and engine under a '65 Falcon A/FX. Edited February 6, 2019 by afx
tbill Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 That looks great. I did one a bit ago, it is a great kit, love your box art build of this.
slusher Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Beautiful model and so clean. Excellent work Tony! I always enjoy seeing.your models!
afx Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 Tony, did you have any issues installing the headers?
bogger44 Posted February 15, 2019 Author Posted February 15, 2019 Thanks for the comments guys. 5 hours ago, afx said: Tony, did you have any issues installing the headers? Oh yes LOL, that was probably the most cumbersome assembly of the entire build. I installed them according to the instructions and placed them in along the framerails first then installed the motor. I do believe I glued the motor in place before attaching the headers to the heads. It was a bit of a battle and time consuming but eventually got them to cooperate. I can't really say I had any tricks to the process though. Are you having trouble with your's too? Of note, the tie rod install was a small battle too.
