stavanzer Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 I was rooting around in the garage over the Holiday Weekend. Found a box of Hot Wheels, and Matchbox cars. 95% new in their packages that I bought from 2002-2004. I counted over 35 cars, 3 Airplanes, and another dozen cars and planes that had already been opened. I checked eBay to see if any of them have any re-sale value, and most of them don't. 15.00-20.00 are the most any are selling for. Not worth the trouble to list, so I'll just take them out and enjoy them, and give a few to my Grandson. There are two M-B 'Crocodile Hunter' cars, and three M-B 'Jurassic Park' trucks and a tiny submarine. The rest are all H-W's of various kinds. 1

I still collect some from time to time Alan, when your grandson gets old enough that would be a thoughtful gift.. 1
THarrison351 Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 I'm late posting. These are the diecast I received for Christmas. The F-86 is from the Italian Aereobrigata it's 1/100, kind of unique. The two Blaney cars are the first winner Next Gen cars and the Texas All Star Race Winner is my first ColorChrome to be added to my collection. 3
ranma Posted January 5 Posted January 5 I bought a M2 Machines 1/24 Coca Cola '57 Chevrolet Bel-Air From the local Wal-Mart for $26.00 tax included. It's crazy that a nicely detailed die cast is now cheaper than most Plastic car kit's now!

Very slight damage, and at less than 1/2 of the online asking prices, I'm pretty happy. Fine model that should look great with some additional detailing and weathered...and there's no shortage of reference info in the web. Â Â Â Â Man, I love crawler tractors, this thing is so cool! 1

THarrison351 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I've been looking at Hachette since they first came to be known several years ago. eBay was my only source and they were always more than I wanted to pay due to shipping, knowing what the original cost was. So recently, I happened to see some of the F1 cars on Amazon too much $$$$, but thought I'd check with a general search and sure enough, they had reasonable prices and free shipping for Prime. I picked up these and they were on sale too! Someone else had the Maverick recently and it sure is nice, especially compared to the other dicast offering. Nothing opens and next to nothing chassis detail, but the topsides and interiors look good. 2

I did mod mine a little with new wheels and tires, plus some detail painting. Next is to Bare Metal Foil the silver painted trim.😊 5
HomerS Posted January 21 Posted January 21 Local auction win.  Had my sights on the blue Cadillac but the lot of these three was less than buying that one from eBay. 3
Ace-Garageguy Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Nice little Welly 1/24 1937 W125 Mercedes. Remarkably cheap, with several concessions to price (like the grille details printed on a sticker), but well finished and proportioned...with steering that works from the steering wheel! The wire wheels are injection molded plastic, a little heavy-spoked, but very similar to Revell's old dragster and parts-pack wires. The tires are particularly nice, are just what I've wanted to upgrade some Merit kits, and are easily worth what I paid for the whole model. I'd really like to open the hood and find it an engine, but it's too nice to hack up, so I'll probably buy another one to pull molds from at some point. If you happen to want one of these, bear in mind that most of the really inexpensive ones are 1/36 scale. 3
