Buck Baker Olds done

Recommended Posts

This is a AMT 66 442 kit. I lowered it and built the under hood bars from scratch. Has PPP wheels and tires. Intake from a 69 Hurst Olds. Carb from an AMT NASCAR kit. Radiator from an old Johan Torino. Homemade radiator hoses. Deacals are from Dave Van! Still need to add rear #s and a couple odds and ends.

Very cool!  What did you use for the rear bumper moldings?

If you are talking about the little fairings in the sides they are aluminum. I cut one of those cheap aluminum roasting pan lids up. Costs 2 bucks and lasts forever.

In 67 nascar had 8 brands

Dodge

Ford

Mercury

Oldsmobile

Plymouth

I believe it was 9 brands. I am pretty sure you could run an Ambassador from AMC in 1966 and it or a Rebel for the 1967-69 seasons.  Although I think only Larry Hess' #44 was the only AMC ever run in '66 those American Motor Cars were eligible.
