Links to a couple of reviews. As Martinfan said, these are pretty easy to find.  I bought the Protar version at a kit swap meet for a reasonable price.

A mystery: apparently some of these Alfa kits have engines and some don't.  The Fine Scale reviewer built Revell kit number 07316, which had the engine.  It seems that Protar kit number 231 also had the engine. Italeri kit number 3691 did NOT have the engine. My kit is Protar #224 and it doesn't have the engine. Just a chassis plate with the bottom of the oil pan.

Can any Alfa experts tell me if this would work for an engine, for this car?

You’ll find info about the Alfa BAT at the link above. Note that those 3 cars were based on the 1900 chassis but had a similar-looking 4-cylinder dohc engine. One thing about the Giulietta model kit is that it mostly resembles the bulk of Alfas sold as 1600 Giulias, not 1300 Giuliettas. It gets complicated because there were occasionally crossover features during the transition. But the hood scoop, steering wheel, taillights and glove box door are typical Giulia, not Giulietta.
