For people who don't know what I'm talking about, the BL-9 was a high-velocity 122mm gun developed by the Soviets in WWII. In the video game World of Tanks, it can be mounted on different vehicles, including the IS-3 heavy tank. My question is, does anybody know of a place where I can get a BL-9 in 1/35 scale? I can only find a 1/72 scale version of the BL-9, and I'd hate to have to scratchbuild one myself if it can be avoided.

I know you can find 105's and 155's American self-propelled

guns.  But your needs are a seemingly "no-go" in that area!!

At least as far as I know!?!

I found a post on Reddit asking about the BL-9 from a couple of weeks ago. Was that you?

It only got one reply. That reply said the BL-9 was only mounted in one tank for experimental purposes.  When fired, the gun was so powerful it cracked the tank's gun mantlet. So the Russians dropped the idea.

I do a lot of military modeling and couldn't find a 1/35 scale BL-9 anywhere.  Good luck!

Scratchbuild it. I made a better barrel for a T-72 long before aftermarket barrels were available. Hand tools only, no lathe or even drill.

You might find another aftermarket barrel suitable for it, then make the BL-9 brake.

Just go for it.
