I was approached by a guy who mastered a 1/16 scale body, hood and rear bumper into a Richard Petty Roadrunner.  It is just these three parts.  I am curious about the interest this might have.  He has built some other Petty cars and taken them to him.  Richard likes his builds and displays them.

Cool,I Just picked up one of these cars up at a garage sale..1/24th.It was a little beat up, and missing a rear tire.I fixed the tire and wheel, and then decided to weather it as if just had finished the 500.The interior/cage,was very well done.

Would be interested if the shape of the front bumper and valance panel was done correctly. Sorry but that's way off. Upon further scrutiny of the photos the rear wheel opening and quarter panel looks wonky, the lower bodyline appears nonexistent and the shape and details of the rear bumper are wrong. Clearly the Charger DNA Has not been removed or changed enough to look correct.

Jim Still wanted the project done.  I made him some copies.  I was successful, it's just bigger.  I have a big pressure pot.  Here are a some pics.  Richard approved.

If the King is happy who can argue with that. ?.  We've all seen imperfect resin bodies but until someone else steps up this is the best that is available.  See my posts about how bad some diecasts are when it comes to accuracy.  The smiles are worth the hours of effort.
