DRH_97 Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 It didnt turn out as well as i had hoped, but it is still one of my all-time favorite muscle cars !
BigTallDad Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 Great results! I'll bet those full-length decals were a joy to apply.
zakdoggi Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 The GSX looks fantastic David. The paint sheen looks real and the wheels set it off very well. Great pics!
Bucky Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 Buicks are some of the best looking GM products. I really like the "A" bodies from the mid sixties to the 80's. This one is a great looking example! I owned a '72 Skylark and really did enjoy that car.
Hmann68 Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 Nice GSX! I just happened to see one cruising down the street today! Sure looked great amid all the minivans and Japanese 4door sedans ?
BeakDoc Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 Beautiful Buick. Great stance and those wheels do look great.
Geno Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 Looks great to me Dave. That was the first kit I built when I got back into modelling a few years back. Love it.
Peter Lombardo Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 Beautiful build.... except for the very slight gap on the rear bumper to the body, it could pass for the real thing. Well done.
mustang1989 Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 Don't see this one built very often. Good lookin' Buick!!
Jim N Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 Great work! That generation of GM cars were among the sexiest to come out of Detroit. All of the GM divisions had gorgeous looking versions of this series of cars.
DRH_97 Posted July 1, 2019 Author Posted July 1, 2019 Regarding the wheels, I found them in one of my parts bins, they were chrome and I and brush painted them with testors flat steel. No idea what kit they came with.
Nitrobarry Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 You know how sometimes you have to do a double take looking at a model to make sure it`s a model and not a REAL CAR? This is one of them. Great Job!
espo Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Great looking paint finish and I like the slightly lowered stance. These Buicks were really under appreciated at the time. I remember go to the old Orange County Raceway on Orange County California in the early '70's and watch these cars dominate their class almost every weekend. Any of the Stage I or II cars were amazing to see.
