On Saturday I commemorated the moon landing by watching the movie : "Capricorn One".

There's a lot of the Apollo documentaries on YouTube including the whole mission. You can watch it just like it was when it originally happened.

I'm a bit of an Apollo nerd, so my fiancee makes great sport of tossing Cap One barbs at me, knowing I'm an easy target of aggravation at the mere thought of the premise.

At the time of Cap One, I was editing a book about Hollywood stunt flying, and the author was a personal friend with the owner/pilot of the Lear Jet that  "crashed" in the movie. He sent me some behind-the-scenes stills of how it was all done. Pretty cool!

My author friend was also involved when magician David Copperfield made a Lear Jet "disappear" on a TV special about the same time, and told me how that was done, too. Also pretty cool! B)
