57 Ford Ranch Wagon

I started this one this week and,so far, I love the kit. I have done a two-tone paint job on this one. It is Tamiya Gloss White and Tamiya AS-5 Luftwaffe Light Blue with Testors White Lightning sprayed over the blue. I'll let it sit during lunch and pull the tape off in a bit.

I'm thinking the blue without the pearl and semigloss white.

No special update. Just proof that I am moving forward on this one. Still enjoying it. I'm thinking about building a roof rack for it.

Thanks guys. I really like the color myself. It turned out to be a very nice shade of blue/grey with just the right bit of metallic look. I think I should be able to start on the interior tomorrow, as long as my day is not too hectic.

Been getting a bit done today between work projects.

White with a bit of black embossing powder on the floor then lightly sprayed the body color over it. Just enough black showing through for shadows.

I was in a hurry on Thursday when I took the last photos and realized when I got home from work that they were blurry. Here are better shots. And I am back to work on this today. Should finish up the seats and perhaps the dash and door panels.

Thanks guys. I've kind of gotten slowed down a bit over the last couple of days. Not as long of breaks at work. I'll probably start on the engine tomorrow. I also need to paint the headliner before I get too far ahead of myself. I need to find three more of the mirrors that go on the front fender. I'm going to use the base of them as the mounting brackets for a scratchbuilt roof rack. Anybody got a mirror or three from these 57 Ford kits that they aren't using? PM me, if you do.

I also thought that the steering wheel and interior looked too plain so I added the wheel horn ring from the old AMT 57 Ford kit.

I'll probably add something to the front seat. I'd like to find some of the old state window stickers to the back windows. I know they came on the decal sheet in at least one kit. Anybody know which kit or kits? Anybody got some to trade?
