Billy Kingsley Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 The Lindberg T Pickup. Should be an interesting build, there's going to be a lot of parts box raiding and even some aftermarket stuff on it....just wondering what year it is? Thanks!
Billy Kingsley Posted September 22, 2008 Author Posted September 22, 2008 Thanks Bob, most of my knowledge is post WWII-73, before that and after it and I only have a general idea!
RodBurNeR Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Thanks Bob, most of my knowledge is post WWII-73, before that and after it and I only have a general idea! no prob! i hope i am right about that, the kit is so "low detail or quality" that it's hard to tell. i almost took my words back and wanted to say something else... are you building one?
Billy Kingsley Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 Not yet Bob but hopefully soon. I've already found a better set of wheels and tires, and robbed an engine from my parts box (a big block Chevy from the Monogram 39) and I'm sure I'll do some more work to it before I get it done. Hope to start it this week. I still have to decide on a color, too. I doubt I'll get it done for Toledo, unless it just falls togther...but I am not going to hold my breath, the kit looks a little rough!
Eshaver Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Billy, I think you're dealing with a 1924-25 model. heres why I think its that too. First, the 26-7 models all had a gasoline tank door located on the cowl . The cowl was a little longer to accomodate the gas tank being moved from the area under the seat to the under cowl area. Now ole Henery still relied on a Gravity feed to the carburator as he didn't wanrt to pay a royalty fee to Bendix for their fuel pump. This is why the Model A retained the fuel system it had . As for the grille, looks like a cut down 1925 model , the bed , wellits obviously a cut down bed from any year truck that was laying around. Ed Shaver

Ed Shaver you are probably right, in fact i almost retracted and wanted to say '23....but that year is pretty incommon in kits other than AMT did some.
