maybe ill do both chassis so i can swap em back n forth if i want lol.

and i realize another reason i hate diecasts, the doors pivot wrong. they go to the outside of the fender instead of inside it, and with the extra louver on the fender vent, the dam door barely opens

found a pair of long anntenas for the 1/4 panels

Mmmm, Don't see that on your car,

yet.

Very cool pic of your car next to a stock one.

Engine bay is looking good.

Vents are looking better.

Interior too.

How is the Top coming along?

That top IS looking much better..

Small chrome around the bottom of the vinyl?

Does it need to go up and then around the corner?

Either multi pieces slow and easy or score it and SuperGlue.

It's small enough, it should flex and bend.

Warm it in your hand and slowly bend, twist and turn.

I just tried it on a small strip.

Ya can do it.

Good luck, Your patients is turning out a great replica.

ya the picec around the bottom of the vinyl is sapose to kinda bend up and around the top, but on the model it will just go around the bottom, it wont have the lile "step up" as the 1:1 but whatever, theres only so much i can do, and itll still be the only 5th ave in scale :(

oh ya this is by FAR the most ive spent on a model, got the summery of what my bill is from teh hospital from when i stabbed my hand with the knife

pics-13.jpg

Been there done that! Still have a nasty scar in the left thumb area of my palm, did you know that an 11 blade is long enough to go in the bottom of your hand and come out the top? I guess it's all bout the force behind the cut that counts.

By the way, you got off easy, in '77 when I did mine it was $1,000 just for the emergency room, the micro surgeon to redo the severed nerves was 2k & the surgery room went upwards of 5k. Thank God for the wifes good insurance that covered 100 percent of any accidental injury. If only we could still get that kind of coverage.
