crazyjim Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 Probably not what you were expecting to see. The tires are actually 1/16" smaller diameter than stock. Just 2 1/2 times as wide. Pearl-Ex antique copper was mixed with HOK intercoat coat for the color. Side pipe holes were filled and an aluminum rod exhaust flows underneath.
donb Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 Jim, that is one cool looking car. Excellent color combo and the interior is spot on, as usual! Very well done!
cobraman Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 You are so right. I would never have guessed this was one of your builds. Cool tho.
TarheelRick Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 Really cool looking Mercedes. Have a similar idea for the MPC Gangbuster's Lincoln.
PappyD340 Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 Very nice Jim, you brought that one right into the 21st century!!
bbowser Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 When I saw your name on this I knew it would be unique! Really nice work updating a classic.
Dann Tier Posted October 26, 2019 Posted October 26, 2019 Its crazy, but the tyre size actually looks decent on this car....Nice job!!!
crazyjim Posted October 26, 2019 Author Posted October 26, 2019 Thank you Bruce, Cliff, Anders, and Dann.
Hmann68 Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 Holy cow that’s a suprise! Really cool and different, the wheels look great on it!
MeatMan Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 Very well done! I think its better than the custom I made last year as it keeps all of the original designs intact while adding some modern wheels.
#1 model citizen Posted November 5, 2019 Posted November 5, 2019 Man that's snazzy! I like the color!
