crazyjim Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 My latest is a HOK brandywine kandy '66 Riviera. Primed in black and set down some tape, applied making tape, sprayed a gold base, removed tape and shot the brandywine kandy. And then 2 part urethan clear over it. I like it. The rest of the build is pretty much out of the box except the wired engine.
crazyjim Posted December 11, 2019 Author Posted December 11, 2019 Thank you David. Trying to make use of the fine line tape I bought.
mod3l Lover Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 It's absolutely beautiful Jim! I just love the color treatment, wheels, and the way the interior colors works with it all!! I have some tape like that getting old here too. Maybe I have now found a way to use mine up also!?! ??? David S.
StevenGuthmiller Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 Nice Jim! Is that engine straight out of the '66 kit? I'm gonna want one of those for my '63 Riv build!! Steve
donb Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 Candy Brandywine is a favorite color of mine. Those outside shots Are excellent, shows the depth if the candy paint interior work looks great too. Nicely done sir!
crazyjim Posted December 11, 2019 Author Posted December 11, 2019 Thank you Ray, Steven, and Donald. Yes, Steven, the engine is straight out of the kit. It was the low rider kit by the way.
Classicgas Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 Well done Jim. I'd love to see what you do with a stock build.
Bucky Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Fantastic paint work going on! Great color combination on the outside, as well as the interior!
tmb727 Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Nice work with the tape and the paint. Was wondering where you got those distributor wires from - they are very realistic and look great.
bisc63 Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Nice paintwork; that color really makes the chrome stand out! Love it.
