mredjr Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 Does anyone now how to fix minor warping on old promos?
Slick Shifter Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 (edited) Pic, please. Every case has their own unique challenges. Edited December 14, 2019 by Slick Shifter
Howard Cohen Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 'Warping' on an old acetate promo is really the air escaping from the swiss-cheese plastic that causes the plastic to deform. You may be able to reshape it with warm water. To stop the deforming, you would have to seal the plastic with some type of coating, like clear coat, paint, primer, etc. Acetate is not like polystyrene plastic.
mredjr Posted December 15, 2019 Author Posted December 15, 2019 I don't have it yet and it may not be very bad but thanks for the tip.
64Comet404 Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 I once managed to straighten a minor warp on an acetate promo by spraying the body with a lacquer colour coat. It was probably a once in a lifetime event, and will never work again, but it may be worth giving it a try.
