Sam I Am Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 While Ford and Tesla are in a little bit of a peeing contest, a guy in a Chevy does this... https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news/chevy-silverado-driver-ticketed-for-towing-53-foot-long-trailer/ar-BBYcrmT?li=BBnbfcL
Warren D Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 Ya gotta give the guy credit, it's a pretty trick rig!
Fat Brian Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 The hitch is a little janky, a pintle would have been stronger. As long as he only moved the trailer like this empty its probably not really that bad.

I haven't managed to finish anything in quite some time and could definitely use the kick in the pants to change that. I'm gonna go ahead and blame life getting in the way, as usual. Between buying a house and all the DIY that went with it I haven't had a ton of time for hobbies. I'm ready to get back to it. You're now a home-moaner!
Goose1957 Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 What could go wrong? I mean, he's got an orange triangle on the back. Lol. Jeff
Jhedir6 Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Well I live in Ontario and I can say that likely this was a farmer moving the trailer from one farm to another (just a guess) cause this is total Farmer Style.
iamsuperdan Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 It's a 3/4 ton or one ton diesel, so can easily handle the weight of the unloaded trailer. And I'm impressed with his airbrake set up. Very clever. The pin system isn't that janky at all. Looks like a fairly heavy duty pin. And if it's not venturing out on a major highway, and is indeed just moving farm equipment as speculated above, then this isn't that bad at all. Technically though, probably deserving of a ticket.
Brian Austin Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Whatever you do, don't call this combination a "semi". :-P With that converter dolly it's being towed with, that would be termed a full trailer, would it not?
