Looks great, I built that kit when it came out. I chickened out and glued a brass wire between the front wheels that the car rested on because I felt the front axle was a little weak.

Thanks! The front axle is definitely a little flimsy.I plan on lowering the front and the rear.

Got these pipes done. The left is what it looked like before taking it all off on the right pipe. Just Tamiya 1mm tape with some 2 mixed in, and abteilung 502 liquid mask. The things we do just to get small details airbrushed lol.

I needed an improvement over the kit windscreen wiper for my Lotus build, so I threw a few scraps together and came up with this.

After a couple evenings I finally got it together. The connection between the arm and the blade will be trimmed at final assembly. It could stand to be tidier and it may end up serving as the prototype for a better try, but at the rate this project is progressing I will likely end up using it. Big improvement over the kit piece.

I believe I've decided on what wheels and tires will go on my little project here....... I've been working on this kit for a long while, it keeps getting stalled for whatever reason. So far I've taken the top off of the cab, shortened the bed, removed the hood sides, and deepened the rear wheels with some sleeves.........

Thanks! They're just painted Rustoleum silver with a black wash followed by a rust colored wash......... Pretty easy.

I've sprayed the black on the interior parts today.......... Nothing really exciting, but I did want to show the products used and how it turned out. I sanded the primer with Scratch-Free Comet and a tooth brush, I'm sure that helped with how smooth everything turned out. Then just two coats of the matte black......... I know folks here are always looking for different sheens of black to use.........

The shine on the rear seat shows the best in the pics............

Glued together the WWII-era Jeep frame today from an Italeri 24th scale Fire Jeep kit that I'd had in my parts pile since the 1990s (better late than never). Clamped on the axles temporarily to prevent the thing from turning into spiral parallelogram, now it'll sit overnight on a glass plate with a flat weight on top. The sink marks in the frame are covered over with super thin sheet plastic - they'll resemble welded-on patches to repair cracks. As for the Willys "Go Devil" engine, yesterday I chiseled off the simplistic molded-on starter / distributor / oil fill pipe (will replace 'em with better ones later) and lengthened both ends of the block, so today I finessed the edges to square up (or rectangle-up, I guess) with a now-shortened '41 Lincoln head I had leftover from a Danbury Continental diecast parts pile. Also lopped off the spark plug ends today and used a ball cutter to grind in clean divots for the plug wire holes that I'll drill in later.

I figure if I can use up every last random part I've gotten over the years, put 'em all into finished projects, then I can quit model building. It'll take a while .. I've accumulated a lot of parts. ?

My friend Marks 1/8 Ferrari P4. This is what he has completed so far . It’s a beautiful kit.

I’m working on the MPC Hemihunter drag car:

and the gauges included in the kit are kinda goofy and out of scale,

so I made a new set of gauges and a tach to add to the dash. The small ones I made pods that angle toward the driver, kinda by accident each one got slightly taller which actually worked out very nicely.

I’ll paint the dash and then add the gauges during final assembly. The other holes you can see are for some toggle switches and a push button starter which will also be done later. Not perfect but I’m happy with them for a first attempt.

Also made some gas caps for the fuel tanks:

Now I have the Lumina kit body but used most of the kit to build a Nascar Pick-up. So I'm building a basic flat floor with an axle each end but I now need the take of the back axle and widen it!

I finished up all the bodywork on the Hasagawa Type 2 VW pick up I’ve been working on.Getting ready to break it down for paint. I struggled to figure out what I wanted to put in the bed until I saw C1 models Beetle Fender Scooter. I think it will look pretty good back there. I got the fender for it primed and ready for paint.
