CabDriver
Messing with this curbside 3D printed Beetle salt flats car…modified a seat I had printed previously to fit, and figuring out what little interior stuff will be visible when it’s done…

We don't have to get carried away, and we still end up with something very cool, at the end! I have a dry lakes/Bonneville project that's very similar, detail-wise, that I need to get back to. It won't be a replica, just an impression. The panels won't be removeable, so whatever can be seen through the cockpit opening would be it. The prototype went on to become the famous Chrisman #25 dragster. Maybe, here in a few weeks, once the dragster's done!
Slotto
Santa brought me some new liquid chrome. First I covered all 4 of these 3D printed resin wheels with my black airbrush mix. Apple Barrel gloss black mixed 2:1 with 70% isopropyl shot at 20 psi. After about a day, i brushed on Alclad chrome on the fronts. This didnt coat as well as i would have hoped so i chased that with a chrome pen to fill in what didnt cover. The rears are a completely different story. I brushed on this. It went on like a dream and covered without a problem. Both are very close and i am happy with the results. The red design was brushed on later with my red airbrush mix. gtx6970
Having recently retired from the day to day work force. I've decided to do some modeling projects that have boxed away for several years. 1st up is a replica of a friend's car. I started long ago. Petty blue 440 six barrel Superbird. Johan body and interior tub. Amt chassis. Parts box drivetrain for multiple cars ( still need to find some pieces I had for it. ) Spent the day today polishing imperfections from paint that's at least 10 years old. Long way from perfect But I can live with it.
slusher
Trying too decide on my tire upgrade for my Cannonball 70 Super bee and choose my wheels and getting everything together for my build. I don’t like looking for things during the build.
