89AKurt Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 Washington Post: Clive Cussler, best-selling adventure writer who sought real-life thrills, dies at 88 Because I'm not a novel reader, didn't know who he was. Only because I attended the IPMS Nationals 2013, did I see his awesome car collection. Some of the cars had the book they were featured in, on display. I'll post a few shots of my tour: Quote
Jordan White Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 It's cool seeing the cars in actual pictures, rather than just on the back cover of the book. He wrote the Dirk Pitt adventure series first, and then branched off into a few other series. They are great books, though like a James Bond movie, they do tend to follow the same general formula. Bugatti Fan Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 Marvellous writer. Read many of his books and sad to hear of his passing. Did not know that he had a collection of classic cars though. Quote
thatz4u Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 maybe his son Dirk will keep the books going... Quote
