chrome question

where can i get alclad? and how well of a job does it do? I,m looking for a polished aluminum look.

Well, that depends on how "polished" you're talking about. Aluminum can be polished to several levels, right up to a very shiny finish that looks almost like chrome plating.

Alclad paint or foil would give you that "almost chrome", highly polished look.

If you want a less shiny but still polished aluminum look your best bet is to use Testors Buffing Metalizer lacquer sprays, available in any hobby shop. They come in many different colors, including "aluminum". You spray the part and then buff out the paint with a soft cloth. The "polished aluminum" look is very realistic.
