arby1949 Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 after building #11 donohue gt-350r, i did some research on mark donohue, and one thing led me to another, and this is one result. the #6 car which won the championship in 1969.
randx0 Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 this is one of my favorite trans am cars and you captured it quite well. did you scratch build the fuel filler assembly? what kit parts did you use ?
Mike Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 I've always loved this car. I was a generation or two to late to watch these races live in action though. Great work.
Nick F40 Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 You got a great avatar and a great Boss killer! LOVE IT!!
arby1949 Posted October 11, 2008 Author Posted October 11, 2008 thanks for all the comments, guys. to randy: the fuel filler assembly was scratchbuilt from scrap plastic, and small droplets of superglue gel were added to simulate the rivits. for all you early trans am fans, go to "historictransam.com". they have tons of photos and info.
Nick F40 Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 I had the site under my favorites, visit it constantly, I love the vintage Trans Am racing...I just wish I didn't have to buy the prints!
