Billy Kingsley Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 am really doing the happy dance for several reasons, really! First, bright and early tomorrow morning, we head for Lake George for a week, which includes the best 1:1 car show, the Adirondack Nationals. I plan to take lots of pictures! Even better, my brother is coming up Thursday and will be with us for the rest of the trip! I may be without the net for a while though...the connection there is hit-or-miss. But, even better, when we get back, the next day the plumbing and heating people come and start to change our water heater (an original in the house from 1955) and that will take a few days. After THAT, the next weekend in the Goodguys show at Rhinebeck which will have a model show, that I will be working. And, then, after all of that, I will FINALLY be able to begin to set up my permanent workspace!! Oh yeah, and, we found in the basement today my box of missing Model Car Magazines. I recieced a kind donation from Richard Daniel (Moe) of a ton of Scale Autos in 2001 and I read a bunch of them. My early Model Cars magazines were in there too. But the box went missing in late 02 or 03 and I've been trying to find them ever since! They were right in front of me the whole time! Hiding in plain sight, I guess! When we get home I will be reading them all again. Tonight I reread part of my first ever issue of Model Cars, July August 2000. So yeah, I'm happy!!
Wildrice Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Have fun Bill and take lots of pics for the rest of us.
Mr. Can Am Garage Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Congrats Billy! Let me get this stright. Your water heater is 50 years old? Wow! They sure don't make them like they used to.
