1969 Cougar Weekend warrior

First just let me say, I don't know anything about NHRA rules. So if it doesn't follow I guess I'll be racing on the back roads lol. And yes, I know it's not a Cobra jet engine and the carb is too big for the 302.

Certainly not the greatest fitting kit so I decided to have a little fun with it. I scratchbuilt a 6pt roll bar among other items. Simplified the interior, sanded door detail, or what AMT claimed to be detail ;). The decals are a mish mash from the parts box. Tinted rear and side windows. Actually they are lenses from disposable 3D glasses.

All in all I had fun building it, which is always the goal.

On to the pics...

Cool Canadian Cat !

Great work on the decals --- especially near the door lines .

Thank you, door lines are always fun to decal around lol

Looks very well thought out - down to the rear wing that for once looks like it would actually give some downforce.

Nice

Thx

Hi!

Imaginative use of your parts. Just in case you wonder, you may clean up the stuck tire rubber on the lower quarter panel with WD40. It works!

CT

Thx for the tip?

What they said.  There is one that used to run the local track called  "Super Cat", except for the name and paint it could almost be a twin.  Really like the work you have put into this one.  Fine looking model.

Cool. Wish I could see a photo of that.

I wish I had a photo.  That day at the strip my wife was out of the country and had the good camera, so I bought a couple of those cameras that you send the whole thing in to get processed.  Both of them locked up after about three or four photos, and none of those photos developed either.
