Built this so long ago, that all I have was prints of film photographs. ?  Since I made a studio to take pictures for the Desert Scale Classic COVID Special contest, put this in the set and took some digital pictures.

The first model car contest I entered, had kits for the entrant's package.  There was a choice of some hot rod, or the Monogram Corvette ZR1, so that's what I got.  Bought a Monogram 1939 Chevrolet sedan delivery, Dr. Feelgoods.  Then I spent way over 300 hours to come up with this.  Got a few awards with it, one was invented just for me, Paintjob Most Likely To Cause Global Warming.  Opened all the doors (with spring latch pins), tilt hood, license plate swings down to serve as a step, moonroof opens, and retractible antennae.  Chassis was adapted for the Corvette running gear.  Painted with nail 'polish', wet lace technique used in the panel area.  Detail Master was a new aftermarket company, used parts for the radiator hose and speaker screens, otherwise everything else is scratch-built.  Over time, the plastic used for the glass has become tinted, which is a cool benefit.  This is still my best street rod model, and don't plan to build any more (will be posting pictures of the only other one I built).

So, you’ve been at this modelling thing for awhile?. The Chevy is a great build, displaying the era it was built in. I’m in the process of taking shots of my DSC entries as well as we didn't make it down to AZ due to circumstances and as it turned out, it was a blessing.
Stay safe and healthy Kurt, by the way is your daughter serving on the A/C carrier, wishing all good health. Cheers Miisha

That is amazing, no wonder this won awards. The paint is so bright my eyes are still watering. Love the signage. All of the minute details take time to study.

Yes, since I was a kid!  Thank you.  Sorry you're stuck up there!  I saw pictures she took from the resort hotel balcony where she is quarantined, with food service, she is healthy last I heard.

You should build more street rods

No way, 90% of model builders do, there are so many other interesting vehicles to do.

I like the 1990s vibe of this one! Impressive work and a very nice colour!

Thanks!  It's funny that it looks dated, from the era when every square inch was painted the same color.  Glad to see chrome is cool again.
