Slot car racing via internet? --Feedback please

Okay,

So I put together a little project that I was hoping you guys would give me some feedback on. I hooked up a 1:43 track in my garage with an internet camera viewing it. I've hooked up controls that allow you to race the cars over the internet. I'm currently working on some coding that will allow you to control the speeds of the cars using a slider bar (right now they are constant speeds).

Anyone has any suggestions on how to make this better, I'd love to hear them.
