ksnow Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Down the road I want to build a replica of the jeep my grandpa used out west for hunting. It was a 1947 Willy's, painted bright yellow. Had a removable top. Up in the mountains, the stick engine would lean out too much, so he replaced it with a flathead V-8 (not sure where that camer from). Dad says they had to get helper springs for the front axle and a bell housing adapter. Here's a pic of it in the mountains, probably 1958 or so.
