Modlbldr Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 I just finished this build today. A Tamiya kit that I picked up unstarted for $15 and built for my wife. She liked the little car and picked out the paint. It is Rust-Oleum Marigold. The only changes to the kit were spark plugs wires (which ended up interfering with the hood, so I had to thin the center of the underside of the hood. It looks like the hood is sitting high in the front but this is actually a design feature of the hood. Hope you like it. Comments and criticisms welcomed. Later-
Modlbldr Posted August 19, 2020 Author Posted August 19, 2020 Thanks fellas. I enjoyed this one. Tamiya makes some nice, well designed kits. Later-
Spottedlaurel Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Very nice work Tom, it looks really good. Looks like there are some delicate details to handle on it.
GeeBee Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Very nice build, when I came to England in 1976, my English teacher had one of these in pretty much the same colour, loved the car, not the teacher so much......
Justin Porter Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Looks great! That's easily one of my favorite Tamiya kits so it's always good to see one built.
espo Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Very cleanly built. Beautiful looking paint and the under hood details look great.
Modlbldr Posted August 19, 2020 Author Posted August 19, 2020 Thanks fellas! I took it home last night to give to my wife. I built it for her. She loved it! Made me feel good. Later-
